I know that the market is hot, especially in the tech business.  Regardless of industry, background, or skillset, you need to answer to one important question:

• How do you add value?

This isn’t difficult.  Include a “summary” or “objective” section.  Tell me what you’re about.  How do you solve problems?  Do you like to dive deep, or think broadly?  Is there some interesting history or background I should know about?  Maybe you were in the Marine Corps, or you’re a dedicated pet rescuer on the weekends.

Those little personal details can add a lot that may get your foot in the door.
